Separate the item bill from the parcel bill
The product price is only one line in your budget. Record seller-to-warehouse transport, selected services, packaging and international shipping separately when they apply. Check which charges are included in each displayed total before adding the numbers together.
Keep the currency and date beside each amount. An old converted product price and a current payment total may use different exchange rates. Possible destination charges also need their own check against current official guidance for your country.
| Input | What to save |
|---|---|
| Destination and contents | Country, required address coverage and the same item list |
| Packed parcel | Physical weight plus length, width and height, with units |
| Service | Route name, accepted contents, calculation basis and selected extras |
| Quote | Date, currency, displayed total and included or excluded charges |

Check which weight a number describes
A listing weight, a warehouse item weight and a packed parcel weight are different records. Retail boxes, an outer carton and protective material can change the final physical weight and dimensions. Label estimates clearly instead of treating the sum of item weights as the finished parcel.
Dimensional weight describes the space a parcel occupies. Carrier guidance calculates it from length, width and height using an applicable divisor. The chosen route determines its own units, divisor, rounding and billing rule; do not apply a single formula to every Lovegobuy service.
TRY IT WITH YOUR PARCEL
Parcel weight calculator
Enter packed dimensions and the divisor stated for your route. All fields are required.
Use the warehouse’s final packed measurements. Get the divisor in cm³/kg from your selected shipping route.

Shown to three decimal places. This is a weight comparison, not a shipping quote; route rounding and minimums may differ.
Formula: length × width × height ÷ divisor.
Compare realistic packing options using the same route divisor. A lower weight result does not guarantee a lower shipping price.
Explore Lovegobuy SpreadsheetUnderstand the effect of box size
Consider an invented example: a 2.8 kg parcel in a box measuring 35 × 25 × 20 cm. Its volume is 17,500 cm³. With a hypothetical divisor of 5,000 cm³/kg, the dimensional weight would be 3.5 kg. If that hypothetical service billed the greater weight, it would start from 3.5 kg before any rounding.
A 35 × 25 × 15 cm box would have a dimensional weight of 2.625 kg under the same assumption. The 2.8 kg physical weight would then be greater. This only illustrates the calculation: the contents must fit safely, packaging may change physical weight, and the actual route may use a different rule.
Compare routes using the same parcel
Use the official Estimation tool with the destination and parcel details it requests. Compare services with identical contents, weight, dimensions and packaging assumptions. First check that each service accepts your address and contents, then compare its total, tracking, estimated transit and any coverage terms.
For an uncertain parcel, compare more than one realistic packaging scenario. Keeping a shoe box may protect or preserve the item’s packaging; removing it may reduce bulk. Combining items can also change available routes or exceed size limits. Evaluate the options actually offered rather than assuming consolidation always saves money.
Explain a change before paying
When the final amount differs from your estimate, check what changed: packed dimensions, physical weight, route, contents, packaging, exchange rate or selected services. Ask the platform to explain a difference you cannot reconcile.
Save the final inputs, total and route with the parcel reference. Estimated transit is a planning window, not a guaranteed delivery date. Seller processing, domestic transport and warehouse handling occur before the international journey, so include those stages when deciding whether an order suits your schedule.

A little more detail.
Is there a fixed Lovegobuy price per kilogram?
A rate only makes sense with a route, destination, date and calculation rule. Use a current quote for your actual parcel instead of a universal per-kilogram figure.
Does removing a shoe box always make shipping cheaper?
It may change weight and dimensions, but the effect depends on the selected route and its minimums or rounding. Consider protection and compare the resulting quotes.
